Sam had gone straight from the house to his cabin and stormed into his alcove to start looking for his duffel bag. Years of packing at a moment's notice made it easier for him to decide what the essentials were for a few days across the country, but he was still debating whether it would be easier to get the car away from Dean tonight or the next

Sharing a cabin with your BFF meant that he noticed when you were storming around.

Of course as big as Sam was people in other cabins could probably notice he was storming around. But Peter had less of a commute so all he had to do was stick his head out of his alcove and say "Sam? What's up?"

"Nothing," Sam said automatically, grabbing a pair of jeans and starting to roll it up. When he glanced up, he met Peter's eyes for a moment before looking back down. "It's nothing. I think I have to leave for a few days though."

Peter took in what Sam was doing. "You're packing, so that's more than thinking that you need to go. What's wrong? Who's in danger?"

"I don't know if he's in danger, but my dad left town for a few days without saying anything to me and Dean," Sam said. "I think something might be up."

Dawn knocked on the door of Sam's cabin, then wandered in. Boundaries? What were those?

She stopped by the alcove with the noise in, which by some freak of luck happened to be Sam's. "Um, hi?"

Sam was about to snap when he looked up and realized it was Dawn. "Oh. Hey," he said, pausing in his packing.

"Hey," she said carefully, edging into his alcove. "Packing to move out of the cabins already?"

"Not exactly," Sam said. "I have to go for a few days. My Dad went off on his own after something, and I have to find him."
