Jackie's apartment building was one of many in that section of the suburbs of Santa Barbara, California. [He is, naturally, just a bit late to arrive. It has much to do with the fact that he has been observing everything with interest and amusement as he arrives. The exit point from the temporal...well, Nexus, was simple enough. But everything on arriving was new to him.]

[And he is quite amused by what passes for fashion in the future. He is, of course, in his usual suit: high-collared, top hat upon his head. A black leather bag is in one hand, his cane in the other. He smiles, briefly, as he approaches her.]

My apologies for being late, young lady, there were many distractions and one attempt to rob me of my coins.

[grins] Fashion and practicality. Nice. Though you might get a bit too warm in our weather here in that outfit.

Oh no, not at all. We're not driving there anyway, I figured we could take a cab. [drags her suitcase to the curb, collapsing the handle into it]
