Ringing in the Ears

I haven't written much is while, guess I just don't want people to know what's really going on, that I'm slowing losing my mind. One thing that's been going on for a few months is this ringing in my ears. More in my left then my right though the right decides to chime in or should I say ring in now and then just to keep me on my toes. The buzzing

I have some of the ringing issues also. In my case it comes and goes. I have talked to people who have tinnitus who say it never goes away, and one friend (my friend Jill's mom) who eventually lost the use of one ear. But since mine is intermittent, I am not sure what is going on. Sometimes it lasts weeks, and I think the first time I noticed it was after a bad head cold where my ears were clogged up. Since you have already gone to an otolaryngology to check it out I doubt my info offers much they could not find already.

Every once in a great while I'll get ringing in one ear or the other... it must be torture to have it going on all the time.

I have read that some medications can cause tinnitus as a side effect, as can some foods. Conversely, I've also read that allergy medication can help in some cases.

It won't cure the TInnitus but you should read the barbed coil by JV Jones- the protagonist has bad tinnitus. plus its fun fantasy fiction

I can hear it too. I've had it since I was very small. I used to think it was the monsters coming to get me in the dark, then I thought wow, that's the sound of the blood and such in my veins, then I realized it was tinnitus and I went to have it tested. I can totally understand how people can hear the voices of angels or demons. The docs told me it doesn't appear to be interfering with my regular hearing so deal. Ah well. I have no insights for you other than listening to music to drown it out, which you are already doing.
