Ideas Thus Far
I'm putting all of the ideas generated thus far over at this thread. Please go add more if you have any ideas for the hiatus.
01. Discussion questions.
I already know of a ton of questions to ask. If any has a question in mind, don't tell us what it is, but comment to this post to say if you have one. We'll start a running list of what the participating members want to do, so discussion questions is #1.
02. Trivia
Is anyone up for trivia? Trivia questions can be anywhere from a set of 5-20 questions relating to the show. We can have prizes and stuff.
03. Caption Contests
Post a screencap, silly or not, and make a caption for it. It could be the start of a new icon craze.
04. Memory Game
I'm guessing this would work like someone would make to Psych graphics, with minor differences, and we'd have to find the differences. I imagine this would be time-consuming, but fun.
05. A Scenario Game
I imagine this would be time-consuming as well. Someone sets up a murder and everyone has to use their powers of observation and psychic powers to figure out who the murderer is - with pictures and writing and everything. We have five months to kill, people. We have the time, LOL. And it sounds wicked fun.
06. Weekly Roundrobin Crackfic?
This one is up to you guys.
07. Word Scrambles
I'm the master of word scrabbles. Back when I watched the show Battlestar Galactica, I created bsgfans to do BSG trivia. The community flopped, but my weekly trivia included Guess Who?, Sequential Order Caps, Word Jumbles, and more. It would be fun to do this for Psych, but not in one post.
08. Weekly Icontest and Fic Contest
Why bother creating new communities? If we have people who are interested, we can do it here every do often.
Okay, so those are the eight ideas so far. Please comment here if (1) you are interested in any of the eight ideas, please specify which ones; (2) you are interested in hosting one of these events and what day of the week it would be good for you (don't worry, it doesn't have to be a weekly thing, if you only want to do it once, no problem), or (3) what day you'd like to see these done on - only Fridays? Discussion of Fridays, but captions on Mondays? Just let me know.
