“Um, my psychic powers generally don't kick in until someone's been missing for 48 hours, unless, of course, that person is Eddie Murphy, from the movie 48 Hours, but sadly, I fear he's lost forever.” - Edward Regan "Eddie" Murphy (born April 3, 1961) is an American comedian, actor, writer, singer, and producer. Box-office takes from Murphy's films make him the 5th-highest grossing actor in the United States. He was a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1980 to 1984 and has worked as a stand-up comedian. He was ranked #10 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time. He has received Golden Globe Award nominations for his performances in 48 Hrs., the Beverly Hills Cop series, Trading Places, and The Nutty Professor. In 2007, he won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of soul singer James "Thunder" Early in Dreamgirls. 48 Hours is a 1982 American action comedy film directed by Walter Hill, starring Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy (in his film debut and Golden Globe Award-nominated role) as a cop and convict, respectively, who team up to catch a cop-killer. “And remember, if you run out of things to talk about, you can never go wrong with Star Wars.” “The original or prequels?” - OK I could go on and on about this and ruffle feathers. George Lucas developed the plot through a number of drafts, finally settling on the plot of the first film. From this success, he created the other two stories. It was after creating a major plot twist, he realized he could revisit his original draft and deepen the characters and tie them to the first trilogy. The middle three were the first ones filmed and released. The original released in 1977 actually says “IV: A New Hope” in that now famous scrolling intro. It was followed by “The Empire Strikes Back” in 1980 and “Return of the Jedi” in 1983. In 1999 “Episode I: The Phantom Menace” was released followed by “Attack of the Clones” in 2002 and concluding in “Revenge of the Sith” 2005. Reactions to the original trilogy were positive, with the last film being considered the weakest, while the prequel trilogy received a more mixed reaction, with most of the praise being for the final film, according to most review aggregator websites. “The Gotti of potties” - John Gotti Jr. was an American mobster who became the boss of the Gambino crime family in New York City. Gotti and his brothers grew up in poverty and turned to a life of crime at an early age. Operating out of the Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens, Gotti quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the crime family's biggest earners and a protégé of Gambino family underboss Aniello Dellacroce. While his peers avoided attracting attention, especially from the media, Gotti became known as the "The Dapper Don" for his expensive clothes and personality in front of news cameras. “All up in the Kool-Aid.” - Kool-Aid was invented by Edwin Perkins in Hastings, Nebraska. All of his experiments took place in his mother's kitchen. Its predecessor was a liquid concentrate called Fruit Smack. To reduce shipping costs, in 1927, Perkins discovered a way to remove the liquid from Fruit Smack, leaving only a powder. This powder was named Kool-Aid. Perkins moved his production to Chicago in 1931 and Kool-Aid was sold to General Foods in 1953. Hastings still celebrates a yearly summer festival called Kool-Aid Days on the second weekend in August, in honor of their city's claim to fame. Kool-Aid is known as Nebraska's official soft drink. In popular culture, "Drinking the Kool-Aid" refers to the 1978 Jonestown Massacre; the phrase suggests that one has mindlessly adopted the dogma of a group or leader without fully understanding the ramifications or implications. At Jonestown, Jim Jones' followers followed him to the end: after visiting Congressman Leo Ryan was shot at the airstrip, all the Peoples Temple members drank from a metal vat containing a mixture of "Kool Aid", cyanide, and prescription drugs Valium, Phenergan, and chloral hydrate.

If captured by a human, the leprechaun has the magical power to grant three wishes in exchange for their freedom. Like other Irish fairies, leprechauns may be derived from the Tuatha Dé Danann. Leprechaun-like creatures rarely appear in Irish mythology and only became prominent in later folklore. Films, television cartoons and advertising have popularised a specific image of leprechauns which bears scant resemblance to anything found in the cycles of Irish folklore. Irish people can find the popularised image of a leprechaun to be little more than a series of stereotypes of the Irish.
“Is that your audition for To Catch a Predator?” - To Catch a Predator is an American reality television series that features hidden camera investigations by the television newsmagazine program Dateline NBC. It was devoted to impersonating underage people (generally ages 13-15) and detaining male adults who contacted them over the Internet for sexual liaisons. People were lured to meet with a decoy under the pretense of sexual contact and then confronted. Show host Chris Hansen clarified in an interview with NPR News that these subjects should be labeled as potential sexual predators, and not pedophiles. "Pedophiles have a very specific definition, people who are interested in prepubescent sex," he stated. The series premiered in November 2004, and featured 12 investigations in total held across the United States. The investigations were conducted as undercover sting operations with the help of online watchdog group Perverted-Justice. Since the third installment, law enforcement and other officials were also involved, leading to the arrests of most individuals caught. No new episodes have aired since December 2007.

CONTINUITY
The places Gus offers to take Max have been settings for previous cases. The planetarium (1x10 "From the Earth to the Starbucks"), the aquarium (3x10 "Six Feet Under the Sea") Old Sonora (4x03 "High Noon-ish"), Santa’s Year-Round Village (3x09 “Christmas Joy”) and the Yerden Estate Tour (6x10 "Indiana Shawn and the Temple of the Kinda Crappy, Rusty Old Dagger") I’m not sure how he planned to do that last one as he and Shawn were banned for life.
Juliet mentioned a shih-tzu when undercover at the sorority (1x15"Scary Sherry: Bianca's Toast") OK, she was using it as a swear since she messed up her manicure.
Shawn stealing the car for a girl goes all the way back to 1x01 “Pilot” when he explains why he has a record. “Would it help at all if I told you that she had a bit of a reputation and I was 0 for... high school? Okay, fine. There were extenuating circumstances. The arresting officer was my father. He was trying to teach me a lesson.” We then see the actual moment in a flashback (3x01 “Ghosts). We finally learn what prompted the action as it was the day Maddie left and Shawn was lashing out.
Gus does his cool thumb/nose move - (2x05 “And Down the Stretch Comes Murder”, 2x14 "Dis-Lodged", 3x08 “Gus Walks into a Bank”, 3x15 “Tuesday the 17th”, 5x07 “Ferry Tale”, 6x09 “Neil Simon’s Lover’s Retreat”)
