This guy does a good job of obfuscating the decline of organized labor over the past three decades, too.

Oh, and the factor he left out of foreign automotive success:

Massive investment in the industry by their government, including protective tariffs.

The invisible hand has not worked in some time, if it ever did.

the invisible hand as it were only has the fewest teathers in New Zealand.
I could go on a long discussion of what the hand get slapped for by various economic laws and protocols.
Sufince to say, most are to control swings like we are having now. Thank you everso past 8 years for your removal of pratical measuers to keep things on an even keel.
