Wow, thank you so much! I love Butcher/Sisky like crazy, too--I was a little leery about this fic when the Butcher left the band when I was half-way through it, but then they started twitter-flirting again and all was right with the world.

Oh my god, I was so excited when I saw there was a TAI fic in the big bang list, and now it turns out that it's WONDERFUL AND AMAZING AND I MAY HAVE TO RE-READ IT EVERY DAY.

Eeeeee this is just the cutest thing ever. Sisky is so EARNEST and YOUNG and he denounces immaturity and thinks deep thoughts and knows Bill better than Bill gives him credit for and ugh just EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS CHARACTER I love so much.

I loved the motif of motion/stillness, and I loved that to the Butcher Sisky smelled like sunlight. How is that so perfect? *sigh*

To be honest I could probably read a million-word-long fic of just William fanboy crushing on Gabe and then getting to tour together and then having to be there for him as his band fell apart, but the pieces of it we got to see from Andy and Adam's points of view made for just the right stormy counterpoint to their own tranquil not!courtship. Ugh so good. Basically I love this fic and everything it chooses to be <33333

I, um, may have started plotting out a Gabe/William companion piece before I was even 3k into this one? Though god knows if it'll ever actually get written. I do think that bb!Beckett fanboy crushing on Midtown!Gabe is my favorite piece of fanon in the whole wide world, though.

...I'm really glad the way I wrote this is working for people, since I got to the end of it and realized it was a fic where not a lot happened. Which always works for me, but I guess some people like, um, plot and shit? Idek.

Anyway, I've told you on twitter how much I loved gettig this comment, so, um, just keep on being awesome?

Really really super want that Gabe/William side story any time you feel like finishing it up, tho - bb Pete fanboying midtown!Gabe might be my very favorite piece of canon ever, but the version with William is a really close second. Basically EVERYONE should fall in love with midtown!Gabe <3

Tbh, I can't think of anybody I wouldn't be delighted to read about fanboying Midtown Gabe, and yeah, Pete is pretty goddamned awesome in the role as well. How could anyone not love him, seriously?

I'm not sure when I'll get to it--I'm more in an Ivy League place right now, plus anything to do with Ryan Ross or anyone who was even in The Social Network, but it's totally still on a back burner. Poke me about it, I'm sure I can be persuaded to get excited about it again. I had ~ideas~ involving shape-shifters and The Cobra.

I'm sure you can find a way to extend your awesomeness if you try--maybe there are steroids for that?

This was super awesome! I loved the contant reminder that Sisky is only 16; he's a kid surrounded by people who aren't that much older than him, but those couple of years do matter. The Butcher was perfect, all laid-back and adjusting to his new band, and the resolution between them was adorable. Everyone else was awesome, too, and the William/Gabe stuff was painful in the best way. Really liked this!

I wanted to get the characterization right, because, you know, I love those guys like mad, and one of the things you notice if you, um, watch every TAI tv ep in a row (yes, I know, I'm a massive and kind of obsessed dork) is how often Bill and sisky mention how long they've known each other and how young Sisky was when they met...
