Yeah, you know, that one that was just announced last night over on the BBC. Come on, you know what I'm talking about. Fandom is imploding and I'm not sure anyone is getting away unscathed.
I think it's going to be very interesting -- and with the combination of Rose, Martha and Donna, well, one could almost feel sorry for Ten. Throw in Jack and if I were Ten, I'd hide.
I think I may be lucky finding my Who love late -- Rose was already gone and I'm not invested in a Ten/Martha ship, so I'm just watching it all from the sidelines.
I came into Doctor Who while I was pregnant with Boo. Everyone kept telling me I needed to watch this show, so scarlettgirl sent the episodes to me and I fell in love. With Nine. I didn't give a hoot about Rose, but Nine..wow. I was not a very happy camper through most of series two because I couldn't accept Ten as my doctor. But then, something changed and suddenly I saw Ten and Rose in a whole new light. They became my ship, but when Rose left, I moved on with Ten. Not that he moved on, mind you, he just hid everything from view. So I'm hoping they have a proper goodbye now. Or at least come to the understanding that they loved, lost and moved on to just being friends. Like I said above, either way, I'm happy
( ... )
That's one of the things which I find interesting about Who -- people tend to gravitate toward "their" Doctor. They might like some of the others just fine, but they always have one who's "theirs."
Maybe that's why I never really was a fan -- my friends were squeeing over Tom Baker or Pertwee or Davison, but none of them were "my" Doctor. At this point, though, I think that I'll be suffering some anxiety when Ten moves on, because he's becoming my Doctor. (Doesn't hurt he's the model for my latest hero.)

it's so lovely when people do all the thinking and explaining about why I like things for me ;)
