Notes: I wrote this for arizonaicerose a while back to fulfill an offer I made in the help_japan community and now that enough time has passed, I’m free to repost it on my own accounts. Her requested prompt was “enjoying the quiet 'normal' moments when they popped up.”

After a busy day, D closed the doors of the shop… )

Aw, this is lovely! I quite like how it feels hectic in the beginning as D mentally sets aside everything he's done so far that day before slowing down linguistically as he finally settles in for tea.

And Leon at the end with his ever-impeccable timing -- wonderful.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks for reading! :-) Leon does have a knack for showing up at teatime, doesn't he?

Oh, yes! This was delightful! And Leon showing up just in time was the cherry on top!

I love this look at a day in the life of Count D--the mundane chores and his careful preparations for tea with Leon. And the line "ordered more dragon food" really made me smile as I wondered what kind of store one orders dragon food from! It gives me a mental image of huge sacks (like the jumbo-sized ones of dog food) labeled "Dragon Chow," but D probably orders something much more classy. ~_^

Thanks! :-) *laugh* Yes, D probably orders something nicer. I was actually thinking the dragon food might turn out to be something ordinary since some of the exotic pets like Medusa ate rather normal things like fruit. ^_^; So, I just phrased it as "dragon food" as a reminder of the weirdness of D's shop!
