“Count?”
D seemed to take a long moment to focus on him, and when he did it took another for him to speak. “Go to bed Chris.” His voice sounded fuzzy, like Leon‘s did when he came in really late and couldn‘t walk straight. “Your brother has a date tonight; I doubt he’ll be back until tomorrow.”
“Pon-chan’s scared. She says someone stole you and left someone else who just looked like you.”
D laughed bitterly, looking at the half-empty wine bottle on the table, carefully placing his glass next to it.
“She may be right.”
