Notes: It's actually a challenge response. *faints* I don't know about the title.


D reached out slowly, long nailed fingers barely even brushing the mirror. His face was beautiful and expressionless, his hair immaculate, his eyes blank. His other hand rest on the dressing table, partly for support and partly to feel the silky texture of the wood.

He tilted his head to one side, fingers sliding down his reflection. He looked... calm. His usual serene self, if lacking the mystery that usually clung to him like a fine perfume. Surprisingly normal. Surprisingly composed. Ready to face his grandfather when he chose to visit.

In fact, if it wasn’t for the wreckage of the shop he could see behind his reflection, he could almost convince himself that his life hadn‘t just collapsed around him.
