I know, that was the only death that really struck me hard, the rest I half expected, but I actually assumed she'd let them both live.

Yeah. Having them both die would have actually been better, IMO, however extreme it might sound. Both or neither. They were so close, how will George ever... Just. :(

Yep, I actually agree, although... NONE of them should have gone. It's just not FAIR.

Tonks got Lupin with her, Fred's just... Lonely. It was supposed to be Percy who should redeem himself by dying.

Oh, totally. I mean, duh, of course. Just, if both didn't make it, then none of them should have. On the other hand, I mean... although it's sad, it's also... I dunno. Dying was the one thing they could not share. It's beautiful AND sad.
