Questions for the network

Ok, so I've just sent in my second application for a position involving analyzing digital distribution of media.  Clearly, this is something I should learn a lot more about fast.  Is anyone out there an expert?  Got any suggestions on resources?

(and heck, know anyone at Netflix or Sony?)

Can you be more specific? Analysis on the digital/technical side, or analysis of the patterns of distribution on the marketing side? Or something else that I need coffee to think of?

I know *somebody*, I'm sure...

Oh, and cybersattva works in or near this field, I think.

More something I think is a neat realm of study than anything I have any experience in, sadly.

That said, PS, if you want to play with tons of netflix data, you can get a whole set of semi-real data here: http://www.netflixprize.com/

To be more specific, I'd be analyzing on the marketing/how people use it side. Some technical knowledge would really help with this, though, particularly since I know piracy will be a major concern.

Hmm - thanks for the link, CS. I'll poke around.
