We're Nowhere Near the End
The mournful mood I alluded to in last year's holiday post has only gotten stronger over the past twelve months, as this has been a year of change through loss in many respects for me...
Much as I discovered back in 2010, one of the thematically-appropriate videos which made me most sentimental this year had a decidedly corporate origin, the Xfinity ad which doubled as an unofficial sequel to E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial:
Staying with the nostalgic aspect of that theme, I would be remiss if I didn't also mention that this is the tenth anniversary of DJ Earworm's famous United State of Pop 2009 mashup of the Top 25 pop hits from that year, even if I didn't mention it at the time:
