On this Canadian Thanksgiving Day, along with all of the other things (and people) I'm lucky to have in my life, I am thankful that I live in a country with universal suffrage.

I think sometimes it's hard to see how much has changed if a person has only been paying attention for a decade or so. Sometimes it's amazing how much has changed even since I was born! I think things will always keep changing - just not always as fast as people would like (or need).
