I am starting at the end, at "Mere Anarchy" by Woody Allen, and going backwards, moving on to The Insanity Defence next, Side Efffects, Without Feathers, and Getting Even in the end.
Actually, it wasn't meant to be discussed at length like this; I just wanted to flip around at the end of that sentence with the most embarrassing detail about him. Plus, quite frankly, I thought this whole "father dating stepdaughter" was so well known and publicized/written about/criticized that nobody would care, particular under the weight of years. (He is married to Soon-Yi now) Apparently, I am wrong. :)
If you are not aware of the scandal, wiki or the below thread would do. :)
But Sasi, my comment wasn't about Woody anyway, just about you choosing to include that in the list, even if possibly as a joke. It surprised in a jarring manner, that's why I commented. Peace.
I had to speak up. Sorry Psasi, I know you meant no disrespect, but the line between good-natured sarcasm and insult is so thin, it's hard to tell what the author intends. Soon-Yi was never Allen's stepdaughter. She was adopted by Mia Farrow and her husband Andre Previn, not Allen and he was not even married to Farrow. Although symbolically she was his stepdaughter by virtue of dating the woman who adopted her, for all purpose, it was a healthy relationship between two adults.I actually commend him for being honest to his feelings and not putting on a false show of fatherly love. His only mistake was not breaking up with Farrow before starting a new affair. But c'mon now, he's not the only man who's done so (and that perhaps was the only thing commonplace about him).
I am amused at your reply about something so not-discussion-worthy. Who cares?! :)
Also, in making your defense strong, you omitted details like Soon Yi was allegedly underage when Mia Farrow discovered the nude pics, and courting could have started much before, and couldn't have been possible without being in relationship with Mia - clearly an abuse of his position as Soon-Yi's mother's boyfriend. You could argue none of these are wrong by questioning the very moral rules that define actions "right". Rhetorically speaking, what would you say about a person, who starts a sexual relationship on the sly with the sister of his girlfriend of 12 years with whom you already have a child, in an age where living with a girlfriend for more than a couple of years is synonymous with social labels like "marriage." Now, let's change the variables a bit - make the person a celebrity who has enormous achievements in a different field and make the "sister" as "girlfriend's adopted daughter".
I'm sure you are right and glad that the comment brought you some amusement. A passionate (read "crazy") outburst in defense of a total stranger can be hilarious to a level-headed person like you :) I felt strangely obligated to stand up for a person whose work has given me so many moments of joy. I would do the same for a serial killer if in some inspired moment he had composed say "The ninth symphony (Beethoven)". OMG! I think I just defined "crazy fan"! Trust me, if Kathy Griffin was the one writing this, I would have laughed and moved on. Just that I never associated your otherwise polished posts (and your personality in general) with wacky humor :)

Well, anyway.. peace!
