I hope that we never lose the stuff in the vaults of the internet, yet I hope the alien archaeologists who will eventually catalog our species don't find only the fun stuff or they'll think we were all even more nuts than we are. :)

Hey, I remember that episode of Reading Rainbow! Of course, I was maybe 8 or younger so I didn't know he actually played a part on Star Trek. I thought it was like what he did when he went to a Renaissance fair or something similar to that. Years later, I see him on a Star Trek rerun and realize the truth.

LeVar Burton does look REALLY odd when you grow up (as I did) only seeing him in that visor; his eyes look HUGE.

Of course, I'm told the same thing by friends whenever I take off my glasses.

Yeah I'm in Nuclear Medicine school and our teacher told us that the watch makers who painted the watch hands would lick their brushes and in the end a lot of them got cancer.

I think they thought those revigators were like 5-hour energy or something.

The guy on the link says he wants to test the water to see if it becomes radioactive. Is that the case, or was it complete quackery all around?

from what I've read about them the idea was to leave the water in them over night and drink it the next day. This would make the water radioactive, how radioactive I have no idea. I assume it would have a lot to do with the activity of the material inside.

Speaking of the dog fur, Samoyed fur is used for knitting (when using dog fur) because it doesn't smell like dog and won't drive other dogs nuts when they smell your nicely knit dog fur hat.

There is an untapped market for dog-attention-attracting articles of clothing for use as practical jokes out there, I think... :)

I suppose it's too late at this point to tell you that I got my two game cabinets from the same store where I get my bookcases? And that I need to order two more game cabinets soon?

Get out while you still can!!!

One of the fixtures of gaming promotion, Alex Yeager, has a "vault" of games the likes of which I've never seen.

Me, I have some boxes including several "Realms of Wonder" calendars from the 80's and a "Thieves World" boxed set... They're all eventually going to start whispering to me at night, aren't they?
