Re: the miniature -- we use LEGOs. ^_^ And they recently made a bunch of awesome orc minis. You can find 'em on Bricklink. LEGO's official line is that they're trolls, but we all know they're orcs.

Extra bonuses for LEGO -- no painting, costs the same or less than equivalent pewter minis, and when your favorite character changes weapons, it's a super-easy conversion. (;

(and also, everyone of the face of the earth loves LEGOs. You put 'em on the table and random strangers will stop by, gawk, and compliment you.)

Even if he gets a "real" one, he MUST have a Lego fig. I think Bricklink, or one of their suppliers, goes to Gen Con. If I remember correctly, they had this huge rack of various figs in armor/weapons from every period, plus (if my friend wants to freak out the other players) things like rocket launchers, machine guns, etc. :)

Brilliant! Thank you!

I do a fair amount of painting and modeling minatures, and I'm familiar with the Reaper line. This model is metal, and should be very easy to modify so that the figure is holding two different axes rather than one long axe. The main issue is that you need to switch the right hand axe head to above the fist after you reposition the hands, otherwise it won't look right.

It's fairly easy to do, and you might be able to find someone to do it for a small commission at your local game store. Many warhammer/warmachine players are pretty good at it, so just look someone with a well painted army and start asking questions.

That should be easy either at the Reaper booth or at the miniature painting events. Thanks!

Did you notice that the Stormtrooper Armour case has ended with a defeat for Lucasfilm in the UK courts?

Oh, yeah, I heard about that on NPR. They mentioned that if he sets foot on U.S. soil he "may" be subject to fines or something.

Still, it was an interesting case. I hope the guy can make a go out of supplying replicas; he fought hard enough to do so.

Finished Ghost Story yesterday, going to get it signed this evening. ^_^
I have been avoiding the temptation to get any kind of special plate for my car, but this one is just too awesome. Might be worth the extra charge.

Did Snuff get delayed? Last I saw it was due out later this year (not next year).

I think it depends on if the Wiki I quoted is up-to-date or not. It could easily be incorrect and hasn't been edited yet, or they may have set a new one.

Sorry, I was stuck in 2010. I keep visiting there, hoping we'll go fetch the Discovery from around Jupiter and see what all that Black Monolith nonsense is about. :)
