OK, so that's not a huge accomplishment at 11:40am on a glitchy LJ post, after having seen it at 7am-ish and then going to read the full post over at Gamespy, but I'll take what I can get.

ANYway... is it just me, or did anyone else thing that Aaron had said Buzz Lightyear by way of "Starcraft" and Woody as if he'd just come from "The DORK Tower."?

I think I'm triggering some kind of alarm on their servers, even though I'm not putting up an ad for shoes, pharmaceuticals, or a link to a piece of questionable software while posting in French or Russian. :)

I may have to start experimenting with eliminating certain words and phrases until I can figure out which one is to blame.

I sit here, at ze Centriq training room, hearing all about the hackers and I wonder if all my life's experience is training me for that moment.

My suspicion is that LJ isn't telling you much because they don't want to give anything else away that would help the hackers to hack even further. Not that they need the help. At any rate the people in the IT Admin track are gleefully looking forward to being hired in an instant. Me, I'm in the Developers wing, so I hope it will take maybe a few instants.

If you'll excuse me, I should get back to coding.

1) it's spammers, not hackers
2) The spammers will have the optimal text to hyperlink ratio worked out within a week, anyway. Not having an informational message like "too many hyperlinks" just confuses and annoys legitimate users.

I wondered if it was because of all the "a href" statements I use.

And I wouldn't put it past the Lulz guys to eventually start going after blogger, LJ, etc. at some point. There's word that they claim to be using 4chan users' computers to help launch DDoS attacks.

I just hope they don't take down TV Tropes or the SCP Foundation; That would kill half of my leisure time reading. :)

Just think of the productivity boost that would happen if TVTropes went down!

That second shirt design is made of massive amounts of win, and will likely get added to my birthday wish-list in short order.

It makes me wonder, though, if the "1:1 scale Enterprise D" guy has thought about making a 1:1 scale Death Star. You'd only be able to make a 128-metre-thick slice of either version, but that would still be enough to be impressive (especially if you have a client that lets you render out past the normal fogging limits). Sure, you'd be looking at something 200 times the diameter, but there'd be quite a lot of geek cred for it ;).
