I'm told that wolves won't go through doors (even if they're open). The workaround is to make a 1-block-square doggy door for them. Alternatively, just get far enough away and they'll teleport to you.

They also won't go anywhere (or teleport to you) if you tell them to sit down.

Still haven't found any yet, but it's only a matter of time before one shows up in the forest I've been logging. Playing on "peaceful", though, so no bones to tame them with.

Now that I think about it, it was sitting. Does right-clicking make them do that? I may have inadvertently told it to 'sit' after it became my friend after only one bone. I thought surely a wolf's devotion couldn't be had so cheaply, so I tried again. I guess I may have made my wolf stationary.

Right-clicking does toggle their sitting/standing state, yes (at least according to Minepedia).

I've given up on finding this sort of thing out by experimentation or on the forums, in favour of just checking "version history" on Minepedia every time the game updates itself. I'll then click through to any of the new blocks or critters or features introduced.

It's worth looking up the "bed" entry, too, as apparently monsters can phase through walls and eat you if your bed is next to the wall. A one-space gap all around the bed prevents this.

...To clarify: By "minepedia" I mean minecraftwiki.net, which calls itself that. A new site seems to have cropped up which actually uses "minepedia.net", but it appears to be run by different people.

No, that is not a prank, they really do that over there.

Pffh, "Chinese" shirt roll indeed, I saw this in the Philippines over a decade ago... not that anyone really wants to claim responsibility for this one, I'm sure.

Actually, it just seems to be a common practice in a lot of places with warm and humid environments.

That's what I figure, is it is actually a way to keep cool. Definitely not a way to look cool, though practical never equals aesthetic.

Those chairs are GREAT...so 40s. They look like they'd be uncomfortable, but they are great if you have back issues. We have a BUNCH of them at work, along with those stereotypical warehouse metal desks. Every so often, somebody decides to get an ergonomic chair, and a week later they are back in the old chair.

There are a couple different versions, some of them have arms for instance, there are some with 5 legs, some with larger wheels, some have fixed backs, and there are a TON of different colors.

You could call it "Miss Peach", but probably most people won't remember the comic strip.

Uh-oh...showed the picture to an artist friend of mine. She thinks the color is very close to "Mary Kay Pink"...

It's got way more gray in it than Mark Kay pink - I grab as much of that old furniture as I can at work when they phase it out. I also spent an unfortunate summer living with a Mary Kay lady, ugh.
