I was warned, but now my brain has melted. I don't know if I can manage the intellectual feat of purchasing and reading comics anymore.

I'm passing on the pain to others so I'm not the only one suffering. Fun fun fun.

Why is there an old man (comparatively) singing about the school bus half way through?

You've obviously got more determination than me - I could barely stand any more than 10 seconds of it. I'm not sure if her voice is normally that annoying or if it's the result of the horrendous over-autotuning they've used, but it's my new least favourite song. And given my previous was the Scissor Sisters murdering "Comfortably Numb" that's saying something...

Ehhh...

Gas prices here just now = 146.9

Per litre.

That is 0.26 of a US gallon, well let's say it's 1/4 so we can just go, 147*4 which is 588 per gallon.

Oh ... but this is all in pounds so far, let's convert that to $

£1 = $1.60 so a gallon of gas just now costs $9.45

So uh ... yeah >.>

Comic books being cheaper then gas isn't anything new...

True; I just thought it was amusing.

A lot of politicians compared the price of gas to that of milk (apparently, as both came in gallons, they were equivalent). I always wanted to see the car that ran on skim moo-juice, but so far I've been disappointed.

If you like that, you might also like the older, cheaper and less sophisticated sibling, AmSci

That's another favorite. I have loads of LEDs and bits of 'science stuff' in the basement that I've used in the past to... well, it starts out as 'art' but usually ends up as a 'fire hazard.'

Wow! Think of the possibilities if you had a converted jet liner as a house. In the summer, you could paint it to look like a hot dog or bratwurst. In the winter, you could paint it white and dress it up as a reclining snowman. For Hallowe'en, just paint it red and white and say it's a big Tylenol! It's an exterior decorators dream!

Funny thing about the AD&D ad is that the woman in the picture is Gary Gygax's daughter. Was in a couple of these adds for both D&D and Gamma World.

Now there's some trivia I didn't know! And that's kind of cool, really. I wonder if she signs copies of the ad at conventions?
