The EVE character creator is truly amazing. Is there much speech/voice acting in-game?

And has any MMO or other game come up with a way to marry "teamspeak" over headsets with animated faces? That would be kind of cool/weird to see. And with Kinect, how long before we can broadcast facial expressions?

I think I might resist that.... my anonymity is something I enjoy online, if my MMO experience relies on actually broadcasting the real me (which, odds are, I'd be trying to escape) then I might have to think twice about participating. ^_^

Interesting, that by-the-numbers thing.

I wonder whether the low box office numbers and poor ratings for the female-super movies are caused more by executive handling or consumer preferences.

The low box office probably has a lot of factors, but I'd say the main one is that all those movies were terrible. I liked Supergirl when I saw it as a kid, but objectively it wasn't very good. My Super Ex-Girlfriend was kind of funny, but not a great movie. Elektra and Catwoman are famous for how bad they were.

Catwoman was just so mis-handled. I'd be curious to know where along the lines someone just said "forget the comic book, we'll just wing it. Keep the whip, though."

If the Batman franchise had a larger continuity going, it would have been nice to dovetail it somehow with one of the Nolan films. Of course, if that larger continuity was there, we might have hope for a "World's Finest" film.

Regarding cloning mammoths, they have a big job ahead of them: the 50/500 rule says they'd want clones of at least 50 different mammoths to establish a breeding population in captivity.

I'm assuming inter-breeding with elephants isn't viable (and it'd defeat much of the purpose even if it was).

It'd probably be easier in the long run to simply breed woolly elephants. My understanding is that cloning fully viable individuals isn't really worth the effort, Dolly the Sheep being the main example of that.
