Oh damn, that trailer gave me a nerdgasm.

And that picture you posted is funny. I really went "Huh, looks like they're upping the Christmas Special ante again..." until I looked closer and realized those were Reapers. :)

I also blame "Torchwood" for making the London Eye Ferris Wheel synonymous in my head with aliens invading Earth.

I thought that was part of the introduction of the Ninth Doctor. I don't remember seeing it used again on Torchwood.

Only no Orko Gwildor, which is a plus.

Though Frank Langella's portrayal of Skeletor was still pretty cool.

Regarding that gawker hack anonymous December 13 2010, 12:27:10 UTC
I would actually call that hack complete and utter ownership. :) It looks like they downloaded 1.3 million useraccounts and have (so far) managed to decrypt more than 300000 of the passwords. The speed of the decryption is explained by the (way) below par hashing algorithm used by Gawker.

And over 2500 people used "password" as their password. Though I'm sure a lot of them thought they were either being ironic or playing a double-bluff on any would-be password guessers.

I admit that Ashley's pink armor bugged me too, but you can swap it out for something suitably black or camo-colored almost immediately. (Why the camo armor when so few of the planets you visit actually have trees?) I always figured that the pink armor was standard-issue for the militia on that planet she came from, possibly a form of "keeping the militia in their place" on the part of the regular military. She makes up for it later, I think, what with the butt-kicking and the rampant xenophobia.

It could be a psy-ops thing. In the future, it's discovered that a certain personality type that's otherwise nurturing and peaceful becomes homicidal towards non-humans when forced to wear pink armor.

I know I go into rages when I have to wear pink.

If I recall properly, the 'Phoenix' armor that Ashley starts in has a unlisted Regeneration Boost...so Pink is *not* a stupid as you might think. Wrex still looks silly as h*ll in the Krogan version, though. Granted, other than that bonus effect it's not that great an armor, even in the X level version. My favorite is the Colossus line--that red and black combo looks so nice. :-)

Who woulda thunk using your Facebook account to login to other places would actually be a boon to your security? Glad I am not on any of those places, though I do visit Kotaku from time to time. Thanks for the heads up!
And that ME3 trailer is quite cool. London was a nice change of pace to set it in. Reapers in Piccadilly Circus? Rubbish!
Thor...I am digging the actors and the look, but I am still on the fence on whether to see it on the big screen or wait for DVD. I am getting tired of shelling out extra cash for 3D movies.

Or trying to find a showing that isn't in 3D. I have glasses, which makes it distracting, and the wife gets horribly motion-sick.

Plus, I still tease her about the first time we viewed the "new" 3D during a preview of Beowulf at Comic Con. The first think to come up on the screen was (I believe) the word "NOVEMBER" in 3D, accompanied by a loud crash.

I often mention how she was once startled by a month. :)

I know 3D is the big thing now, but I haven't had any trouble finding 2D versions of popular 3D movies at my local theater. This is a big plus for me, as my kid declines to see anything in 3D, for no explicable reason, so I saved a bit of cash seeing Avatar: The Last Airbender. Small consolation, but I'll take what I can get.
