so i am playing with the idea of getting a mazda3 touring(touring means that the car is equiped with front side airbags and side air curtains in addition to the standard dual front airbags)

yeah. Getting you to test drive the car is the hook. If they can get you to test drive a car, it gives you an attachment to the vehicle and makes it more personal.
