My tattoos have started scabbing and I've recently switched to using lotion; as I've been told by my artist to do so after 3 days of using A&D ( Read more... )

"infinite" does look like it's healing a little funny & may need to be touched it but like you said it's really hard to tell until it's actually healed.
for the itchiness, try slapping it...sounds weird but it works. also put lotion on every time it itches!

Yeah, I'm already a little worried about it but I'm not going to freak out or anything yet. I'm suppose to go see my artist again in a week or two so he can see how everything is healing, so if it's still odd by then I'll see what he says.

And yeah, I've heard slapping helps, but... I am probably one of the most paranoid people ever and don't feel I should slap it. xD If it keeps itching like it is though I may end up giving in and doing it anyway haha~ But yes, if nothing else I've been putting lotion on it every time I feel I should [I was out today so I didn't get to much... I should probably start bringing some lotion with me when I go out], so I think I'm doing a good job taking care of them so far. :)

yeah don't worry too much...i took horrible care of my first tattoo (i stayed at the beach for 2 days after a got it...sun + sand + not putting a ton of that cream on it...and it still healed beautifully! that's the joy of tattoos: the aftercare is fairly simple and quick, especially compared to piercings (what a drag)

xD Well, that does reassure me some... [though with infinite being all white ink I feel I should be extra careful with it; as white tatts are known for needing more work and care, from what I've read.] I know my friend said she took care of hers but wasn't uber concerned and they look fine... I suppose I just have the "this is totally new" paranoia with them and don't want to screw up haha~

And yeah, I don't have anything major [ears, bellybutton; the common things haha] but I know others who have gotten more sensitive things [like a tongue piercing and etc] and yeah, piercings can be work.
