This is lovely, simply wonderful. I have to say, the long wait has been more than justified, especially since you posted two chapters practically together.
The plot seems to be moving along and I am holding my breath, because it's so fascinating. I am now absolutely sure I'm going to stick it out until you conclude or give up on this story. Your style is addicting, it tastes exquisite (don't mind my weird way of perceiving, this is perfect).
That said, I can only hope you'll post another chapter soon.

I've decided that I'm not going to post this to any of the Narnia fic coms until it's well and truly finished, so the fact that you liked it enough to come back and check for updates after so long is incredibly flattering. If even one person likes this that much, I guess I must have done something right.

It's been an incredibly long wait, hasn't it? XD I'm very much hoping that the next part won't take anything near this long, although I can't promise anything. You'll have gathered by now that I'm the very reverse of prolific!

I'm very happy to hear that you think that the plot actually seems to be moving (and that it's fascinating too! Yay :)), as I was afraid that it's kind of static and dull.
I understand that you're saying about the taste, I think, and thank you, that's a really wonderful way of putting it :)

As I said, I'm determined to finish this, no matter how long it takes. Hopefully it won't be too long.

I really wasn't sure if you checked LJ any more, so I dedicated this to you on the off-chance that you might see it, but I wasn't expecting you to, and so quickly :)
I'm actually in the middle of a letter to you (letters for me always feel like a rather epic undertaking. It's been a few days already XD) so that should arrive somewhere around your actual birthday.

I'm so glad you liked this<3 I wasn't sure if you'd read the other parts or not , but given that you've definitely read chapter one (although it was rather a long time ago!) this part probably kind of makes sense without intervening 3 chapters. And I guess I'm rather pleased with it (after some fairly brutal editing!). I'm just glad that I finally got to write smoochies, even if they're incredibly awkward and rather disappointing smoochies. Poor Lucy, nothing ever seems to go right for her ( ... )

I really like how you chose to open the chapter, letting us know that it (or something wonderful and important) has happened. It's just a nice sort of reassurance, perhaps especially because it's felt like a long journey to this point. There's just so much pure joy in that opening paragraph; it made me excited to read the rest even though I already had. XD ( ... )

I don't know if you noticed, but part of the reason I wanted to start the chapter like that (and I'm so glad you liked it <3) was that I wanted to pin my colours to the mast with regard to the train crash. I guess you could say this is very subtly AU, and in my head-canon one of the things that happens is that The Last Battle, well, doesn't! (Happen, that is, with all that that implies). No mass character slaughter in my story, thank you very much. I don't know where I'm going to end this, but at least I've kind of made it clear right at the head of the chapter. That first paragraph would certainly have flowed a lot better if the bit about the train crash wasn't there, but I was determined to get it in ( ... )

Thank you! This comment was such a nice surprise. I've stopped posting the new parts of this to any comms because I've been writing it for so long and I update it so rarely. I will finish it one day, but I suck at writing to any sort of schedule, and I when I do write I write incredibly slowly :/

I'm so glad you liked this though. I really enjoyed writing the ball scene, it's one of my favourite parts too, so I'm happy you liked it :)
After a bit of a false start, I finally made a start on chapter 6 today. Hopefully it won't take as long as chapters 4 and 5 (which took about 6 months, all told :/). I'm determined to finish this story. I just don't know how long it'll take!
