I've lived in Liverpool 27 years and never been to Chester zoo. A bunch of my friends went there at the end of my first year at university and didn't ask me, which I was rather upset about, and I've wanted to go ever since. 26 years later, I finally managed it

Frankly, it sounds like she was looking for an excuse not to go. Perhaps she just felt a bit off and realized it would be best not to go.

Since you let her know you were running behind, I doubt that's all of it. If it is all of it, you're lucky she didn't go. It would bug me too, were I you, so I don't think it's just you.

I think you're right but honestly, if she didn't want to go all she had to do was say she'd changed her mind.

And yeah, if she was already in a bed mood we had a lucky escape. Her being a grump would just have put more of a downer on a nice day.
