Nice quiet birthday, which is really the only kind that I like these days. My car breaking made sure I couldn't have done anything big anyway, even if I'd wanted to, but I like quiet, especially in January

I'm heading back into my novel at the moment with lots of new ideas to improve the first half - just have to start actually putting some of them to paper...

And I love "Iris" - I first came across it on the City of Angels soundtrack and it's really beautiful.

From Tuesday evening to Friday afternoon I managed to not even step outside the house. It was so nice! :D

I'm kind of impressed with myself too :p
I really never thought it would take this long, and the fact that it has but it's still going to get finished is something I'm really happy about.

Agreed on the quiet birthdays. At this point I note with surprise that I'm still here, and strive to avoid being noticed by the fates. Lest they decide to fuck with me for amusement.
