Title: Commander T'Pock
Artist: Hakka (
prue84 )
Fandom: Star Trek (reboot)
Timeline:
AOS Genderbend AUCharacters: Spock
Rating: G
Tagline: Natalie Dormer as female!Spock.
Series: Rule 63 Trek
Notes: I already said it but I'll repeat it.
For female!Spock I always envisioned JAG's Catherine Bell, but she didn't work as a female version of Zach's Spock (she still is the T'Pock for an original alternate timeline, though). Another candidate was Adrienne Wilkinson (she's a T'Pock in another AU/timeline's of mine) but, again, I wasn't completely sure she was right for this specific Spock. Plus, both Catherine and Adrienne have so few good quality pics that do manips with them is a nightmare.
I was trying to find an actress who could convey the asshole-isness that is AOS!Spock and, well... Natalie Dormer seems perfect to me.
Only downside? Natalie, outside of her time on the Tudors, doesn't have black hair, while T'Pock is blacker-than-black. A nightmare.
About the name: I decided years ago that any female Spock would be called T'Pock, so T'Pock she is.
In "Parallel lives" (Star Trek 29/30), the female Spock keeps the same name, which is idiotic to me.
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): The miracles I had to make to put some black hair (and a high pony tail) on Natalie... you have no idea...
T'Pock's probably the only one who wears a slightly longer dress. Bless the cosplayer!
Not completely satisfied with how the rank stripes turned out (I liked Kirk's better), but I love the touch of the azure make-up that I turned so to be of the same color of the tunic. :D
