Notes: From this post of my own, I like the idea of Jim and Uhura be best friend and do things together, painting nails included. My headcanon is that Jim isn't just decent but actually quite good at it, so he likes to play with Uhura's perfect nails and Uhura just let him. So he experiments, perhaps does some nail art too.
Notes 2: Who doesn't love the idea of our captain with eyeglass? I was waiting for the chance to put him in eyeglasses and this seemed to me the right time. He doesn't have eyesight issues yet, so these are just resting lenses: I guess that, with all the bright lights that make the bridge, Jim's eyes wouldn't mind to wear some lenses that help them rest. We already have filtering lenses that help people who use bright light device like tablet and stuff so they could have upgraded that technology in the future, given their massive use of lit devices). So yes, have a bespectacled Jim.
Notes 3: Yes, there'll be a part II. I'm still dubious about the result so I'm withholding it, for the moment. :D
Notes 4: Starting to hate giving titles to manips. Co-neuron aleniakalain helped with this one.
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): Do you think Uhura's skin is dark enough? In the original, the woman was white, so I had to darken the skin. Zoe is lighter than Nichelle and I feel I've picked the right hue, but let me know if you think she isn't dark enough. ;)
