About the manip: Dads Jim and Spock taking a stroll around San Francisco with their baby Alexander in one of the few days they're both off duty and free from their Starfleet-HQ jobs (I guess Spock has returned to teaching while Jim... is either supervising the Enterprise's nth refitting or doing whatever captains do when grounded).
Every time they treat themselves with a walk like an average family, is Dad Jim the one carring Alexander. Spock cares for their son as well and therefore enjoys - most than he'd admit - having him in his arms, but it's easier for the task to be covered by Jim, considering Spock is always wearing a buttoned-up coat. Also, Spock isn't exactly looking forward to see himself showing affection in public splashed across the front page of every magazine, so he concluded it's better to leave the spot to Jim, since Jim is already used to be on the spotlight. See how Jim smiles to the photographer? Used to, I told you. :D
Alexander, having taken from his Vulcan father the telepathy, constantly searches for/needs a touch, so Jim makes sure to always keep a hand near Lex's tiny fingers.
About Alexander: In the fanfiction linked below, Alexander's origins are left unclear for purpose, so the fanfiction could be enjoyed even by readers disturbed by m-preg. However, in my headcanon, Alexander do is biological son of both Jim and Spock. Alexander strongly resembles his human father, and hasn't taken anything physical for Spock, but his quarter-part Vulcan is represented by the Vulcan telepathy. When grown-up he might turn up to be stronger than his human daddy, though.
Notes: This is Spock and Kirk's son from my AU headcanon as seen in the fic " Crystallized water falling from the sky".
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): I was searching for some "dad and baby" photo on Google Images and, bam!, I stumble upon this wonderful pic-set of Cam Gigandet being an affectionate daddy and I immediately knew that I had to turn it into a Jim and baby pic.
I don't know how and when but, at some point, a single-character manip decided on its own that it wanted to be Jim/Spock manip. The coat used for Spock is a Dsquared2 item that you might see in my manips in the future, as it has been elected as the official uniforms for the Vulcans of my Mirror Reboot Starfleet.
Finding a background had me almost tearing my hair out in frustration. In the end I found the futuristic look I needed from official photos of a new Milan district and I decided to add 24/7 live monitors to give it a "big US city" feeling. Yep, there is an Orion model publicizing some underwear brand. And an easter egg: can you tell me what it is? XD
I did this manip back in late July when I was on a roll but, unlike with the babies series, I didn't post it: I wasn't satisfied and I still am not, but I guessed I should post something today, since it's the K/S Day. Happy K/S Day, fellow shippers!
