of people asking me if I starved myself to lose the weight. Furthermore I'm sick of people asking my why I continue to starve myself. I DON'T STARVE myself! Yes I eat less than I used to, umm duh I was overeating that's why I was overweight. I eat much healthier now and I eat a lot less because I stop eating when I'm full and I don't eat unless ( Read more... )

I agree! After two kids ... I was heavier than I used to be (granted I was underweight then). And after a few months in Weight Watchers and learning how to control portions and calories and everything else ... it was "stop starving yourself!" *sigh*

Can't a woman eat a proper meal in peace? My god, if everyone would put down their fork inbetween bites and talk and listen to others, I think this world would improve tremendously!

Amen sister!!
You know it's funny you mention that. My sister is trying to lose weight and started watching this program on tv called "I can make you thin" and that was one of the things the guy on there said to do, put down your fork in between bites so that you can enjoy every bite and be able to "hear" when your stomach says you're full and viola! you eat less and lose weight. He actually has some other really good tips, most of which I did to lose weight, finally somebody on tv not selling a diet and in fact changing peoples way of life.

Exactly!! That's why I went through Weight Watchers. They teach you how to change your lifestyle. You're not eating any predesigned (nasty) foods. You're not on a strick diet. You eat what you want to eat. I loved the point system. I ate chocolate everyday. I found ways to make it happen in my diet. And if I ate too many calories, I spent extra time at the gym to get them burned off ( ... )

They're probably just jealous frankly... I'm quite lean and so get the 'not much meat on you' comments from time to time... which is fine, cos I'd rather this than have their manboobs!

lol you always make me giggle. I've never been on the leaner side, although I got tormented by a few of the nurses saying I should gain about 5 pounds back but I still feel I could stand to lean up a bit. I don't want to lose more weight, I just want to lean up what I have and perhaps get rid of that bit of tummy flab I still have. Unfortunately I can't start on that until I'm all healed up but soon enough. Although I'm a bit saddened because I bought a bikini and now that I'm going to have a scar I'm a little worried that people will be apalled. However I'm secretly proud of it, it's something I endured and came out victorious and it's kind of a permanent reminder of that, almost like a tattoo. meh, who cares what they think anyways!!
