Happy birthday takewing & (a little early) parsnip_chan!!!
If you give me a character/pairing & prompt, I'll do my best to write you a birthday drabble. ♥ I hope your birthdays are awesome!

Talking about animelist the other night with Bri and Meg got me thinking about trying to catalogue my books again, too. I used to use a site to do that, but the interface was ( Read more... )

gargoyles, rambling, books, real life, writing, baccano!

Good luck on that job! I think you can do it, and it'll be fun to move out where there's more access to things. It's definitely convenient, ahahaha.

I like having you as a writing buddy, too - I just wish I were more reliable. I think I have to really sit down and sort out what kinds of things I want to be active with and what isn't a priority, because I'm juggling too many things and...yeah, I end up doing things, but not as much as the standards I set for myself. And I have a writing assignment for my class that I almost totally forgot about. Urgh. But having you there is definitely helping. :D

Oooh, writing longfic sounds fun!

Heh, thanks. It'd be working with MI/DD patients, too, which is something I'd like to be doing. Not that I don't love my old people, but...yeah.

I need to be more reliable, too. Sometimes it just kind of completely slips my mind. Oops. Still, I really like talking with you about that kind of stuff when we do, and knowing you are around helps motivate me a lot just in itself. I hear you on trying to juggle too many things, though. I mean, the things I try to juggle tend to all be sort of unimportant, but. Eh. Sometimes I think about when I was a full-time college student with 2 jobs and yet I still somehow managed to feel like I had more free time than I do know. Which...I mean, I think I just was better about budgeting it, so I got more bang for my buck. As it were.

Yeah; I haven't really down much long stuff in the way of fanfic, so I think it'll be fun too. And it'll be a change from the usual short stuff I've written the past few years.

I don't know what MI/DD means. ://

Yeah, same here. Lots of things do, because I've never before made an effort. I've never had anyone I know be interested in the writing partner thing! About fanfic, at least. I like talking, too - and I love motivating! The things I'm trying to juggle are for the most part things online. RL needs more balance too, but not as much as here. Hahahhaa, I never felt like I had time in college, even though I slacked off a lot that last quarter. BUT YOU CAN DO IT. And I will e-mail you back. <3

I miss writing long fanfic. I didn't do it often, but it's an awesome experience because you actually get to see something DEVELOP instead of just splotching a scene into a ficlet. More rewarding. alsnfls why am I not doing this.

Mentally impaired and developmentally disabled/delayed.

I'd say the things I'm juggling my time on are a mix of internet and rl things, but like I said before, nothing really important. More like, "oh, should I read a book, or answer my email, or play a video game tonight?" Tough choices like that, haha. In a way it feels dumb, but the fact remains that I have various recreational things I want to do and I can't do them all at the same time. Yeah, that's the thing that confuses me about when I was in college. I was still fairly internet-addicted then, and had homework and projects and papers and stuff, and two jobs, and the clubs and organizations I was in, and just random hanging out with friends...it felt busy, but in looking back at it, I feel like I still somehow managed to have more free time to do random shit, as opposed to now. It's probably more a question of the quality of time, rather than the quantity, though. I slept even less then, too, haha ( ... )

asodijfaoisdf Thanks!!!! I dunno. I think you already know that if I got GinHiji for my birthday I'd be a happy clam. If it's not up your alley, that's cool! Prompt? Um. "Bitter". Any and all definitions of the word, feel free to go wild or ignore my silly request. >.>

Haha, I dunno why the phrase "a happy clam" is so funny to me right now, but IT IS. Anyway, sure thing~ I'm still kinda...unsure about writing for Gintama but I'll do my best It'll be good practice! ♥

THIS IS THE ONLY GINTAMA ICON I HAVE, APPARENTLY.

It's such a cliche saying but oh WELL. I have a back-up thing that I imagine would be easier for you buuuut yeah. Practice is good!

SHAMEFUL.

Now you've gone and made me curious. :| I demand to know what this back-up is. Maybe I'll write BOTH.

I have too many fandoms. Also, I am apparently too lazy to fill up my remaining icon slots. >.>

You're so sweet! ♥ But really, there's no need to give me fic ^_^ Just knowing you offered is enough although if you're into D.Grayman I'd love some Miranda-centric fic, prompt sisters.

Thank-you!

And I do hope your prospects for a new job come through. It'll be exciting to start off fresh someplace new (or have you lived in Minneapolis before?)

Unfortunately I don't know D.Grayman; sorry! Feel free to try again, heh.

Nope; I haven't lived there myself, but I've been thinking about moving there for a while now. I hope everything goes swimmingly, though. I'm ready to settle into a new place.

I'll go for an old favorite then ♥ Tatsuki/Orihime. There's not enough fic for those two girls!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for that job prospect then. There's always something exhilarating about moving to a new place. XD

I am answering here; sorry I am too lazy for a whole new entry.

almond - Uhm, it's my favorite scent and one of my favorite flavors.

costuming - Because I like to pretend I can sew sometimes and it's fun to make fanciful outfits like for Ren Fest and stuff.

drabbles - eh, it's a fandom thing; it basically means a really short story, like around 100-250 words.

heavenly creatures - It's my favorite movie! "All the best people have bad chests and bone diseases. It's all frightfully romantic!" XD

view askew - I love the movies and I have a crush on Kevin Smith.

style - eh, just like as in style in writing, or trying to develop a style or "voice" appropriate for the piece

unrequited love - Unrequited love in fiction really gets me (most of the time), especially when you as a reader/viewer really want it to work out, but you know it just can't.

Haha those probably weren't very exciting. OH WELL.
