So, in my last post I was talking about NaNoWriMo and I was all excited about that, and I still am, except things have changed and now I really can't decide if I should even bother with it. On the one hand, I do really want to and I think in a lot of ways it would be good for me. On the other hand, things are kind of Suck for me right now (don't ( Read more... )

Aside from the stress, my impression of NaNo is that you don't really have anything to lose by doing it. It's a commitment, yes, but if someone can't finish a novel and they put their best effort forth trying to write it... well, that's what counts the most, right? I say go for it; it might cut down on other anxieties, too.

And for some reason your last post never showed up on my friends page, but as a YoruSoi 'shipper myself, I really love it. Your art never ceases to amaze.

*hugs and love*

Right now I'm inclined to at least try. Technically there is no penalty for not finishing, but I also know that I'll want to beat myself up over it, because I'm a freak like that. But I have been looking forward to doing NaNo for months now and I still am, so I'm hoping it will end up being good for me.

And, aww, thank you. I had this picture in my head and I managed to get it onto paper pretty much as I'd imagined it, so I was happy. :) *hugs*

The other thing you can do is do an unofficial NaNo when things aren't as stressful for you. If you have a quiet period in January, say, I already know someone who's done their own JaNoWriMo, so you could do that as well.

I'll want to beat myself up over it

I know the feeling; deadlines do that to ya. ):

I've also thought about that. Of course, I planned on doing that last year, (NaNo'ing in a different month) and it never actually came to pass. Hmm. Well, perhaps if I can find some other people to do it with me or something. :)

lol, i've had an eye tick since last sunday, and no idea where it came from. last time i had it, it went on for about three months before disappearing.

came stalking here after seeing the pic... mind if i friend you?

also, about nanowrimo - i've never participated and can only guess how stressful it guess, but then again, if you enjoyed it last time... and maybe, writing wouldn't necessarily add to your other problems, but offer you a breather from them? ...but i'm just thinking aloud :)

I don't mind at all; friend away! I'll add you back. :)

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm hoping. For now, I'm going to try NaNo. I just think too much.

Issokay. *pets* I had thoughts of doing NaNoWriMo, but my heart's not in it like it is going over Japanese, or translating, so eh.

And commenting... don't worry about it too much. It's good to communicate (me? giving commenting advice? ? ?) but people do understand! :)

And it's good to see ya back, I haven't seen anything by you in DAYS!

Ah don't worry about it. At least try, as others have said. I totally feel your pain, especially with my current situation I didn't think I'd have time for it either! Although do what you feel is best.

Your drawing is so cute! I saw it on DA. It reminds me that I have to still do your kiriban.
(I'm so bad ;_;)

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I think at least trying really is the best thing to do, because I am really excited about my vague plot and the idea of writing it. :)

Aw, thanks. And, omg, don't worry about the kiriban. Take your time! Take all the time in the world! I'm the last person in the world to complain about that. XD
