May 21, 2012 22:07

I'll be getting there on Thursday, around 4pmish, and leaving on Monday, around 3pmish. I am sufficiently recovered from my cold that my plan, once again, is to attend too many panels and parties and neveeeeeer sleep ( Read more... )

YAY! I am excited, now that I know that you're going to be very open to being dragged into things with me. ;)

Also, um, I am hoping the Women in Superhero Films is going to be more about the POSSIBILITY of adapting certain heroines to films and not, um, actual ones because we really haven't had too many.

And I will forever be bitter that stupid Hulk has THREE movies about him, while She-Hulk has a formula that's a lot more marketable and no movies.

Yay! I was hoping you would be interested in the Pregnancy Trope panel because I have all the rage in the world for it to shaaaaaare.

And yeah, I am not sure how many I would actually end up attending, especially depending on what else we can find to do? I am sure we'll never run out of things to have FEELINGS over, so, panels are secondary to hanging out, yes.

I am amused that you want to go to the Women in Superhero Movies panel because of your UTTER LACK OF INTEREST. ;) I will have to talk about Emma Frost in our "Women and Power" panel and see if I can change that to "slightly interested" because she's deeply awesome.

And you have things on your list that I hadn't noticed and seem fun (Reproductive Justice, HOW DID I MISS THIS?). I need to look at the schedule some more.

I fear that these panels are not going to feature enough RAGE for our tastes. ;)

The movies are horrid, and RUINED Emma Frost. But the comics themselves can be pretty damn awesome, depending on who is writing, and the runs tend to be pretty stand-alone. Like, if I had to list my top five female friendships of all time? I am pretty sure that at least FOUR of them would be in comics.

And don't you know, anything Joss Whedon touches is AUTOMATICALLY FEMINIST, even if it's all about rape or features just ONE female character in a team of six people.

This makes me feel so jealous. And makes me wish I could be there.
