tv promotional art fail: Caprica

So, I haven't seen "Caprica" and can't really judge it. I am, however, totally judging its poster art. If BSG hadn't burned me so badly, these would've made me run far, far away.

The two prominent ones I've seen around under the cuts.

What distracted me about the second poster is the actress' eyebrows. That's a really silly thing to be distracted by.

Really? After all the trouble they went to to make that shiny, red apple symbolizing DOOM for humanity stand out? ;)

Yes, argh. Zoe is sexualized to a bothersome degree in the show, too, given her supposed age. (I know the actress is in her 20s, but the character is in the equivalent of high school.) I don't mean in terms of her being sexual - just the way she's dressed in these very adult, revealing clothes all the time, arguably to contrast with the robot body, but still.

I do really like her character though. Sadly. ;)

With these two pictures together... I'm actually distracted on the fact that it looks like the girl (whose suppose to be 15) snatched the apple from her father (the guy closest to the apple in picture 1).

So weird.

BSG burned me so bad, too. Yet I've been watching (fully expecting to be let down)... but these adverts are horrible and do not tell anything about the show. Oh, I guess the lore of evil ie Cylons? Wha RDM???

All I can think off is how artificial that apple looks. Shouldn't she got to a doctor or something?
