You'll probably think me a fool, but... well, to cut a long story short, I've recruited Liquid Snake. After everything that's happened, I... had a feeling this would be something you'd want to know about.

I think a chance is all he needs. I've been speaking with him fairly often, and I think I'm finally starting to understand him. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't feel he's an inherently bad person, just one who's prone to making stupid decisions. He needs direction, and a reason to keep himself in check. So I'm giving him a measure of my trust, under strict conditions. I think... or at least, I'm hoping that he'll rise to the challenge- he has something to prove now.

Ah, but I'll be watching him personally, you can count on that. If he sets a foot wrong, he's done. I won't have him putting anyone else in danger.
