I've been neglecting you and I'm so sorry… toiling over the BB, which by turns is thrilling because it's a pretty epic and twisty-turny plot, and depressing because of my despondency over 6.22 and the thought this show could possibly be over for me by the time the damn BB posts. I'm pressing on while thinking it could be my last hurrah, because I don't know if I'll keep watching regularly if we don't get Cas back in season 7. So: woe is me ( ... )

I wouldn't consider "toiling" over a long epic story I KNOW I'm going to drool over "neglecting." In fact I'd call it just the opposite. ;) (I really hope we do still get Cas and the show is not over for you, dear.)

Thank you for saying such lovely things about this little squiggle. (See? That's not neglecting me either.)

And yeah, I'm not really hip on the Gostiel non-con either. I suppose, done correctly, it could be really heartbreaking and dark and make some excellent points but it's SO far away from how I always viewed Cas' character that it's hard to reconcile with. He was always outspoken about freewill, which is why the finale was so wtf (engaging? yes. Posses of continuity? maybe not so much). Also, non-con is usually uncomfortable for me in general.

Dean's world is bleak. The sex is sad. And suddenly, there's this incredible uplift with those simple words "Sleeping in". What a nice, punchy, hopeful ending!

Well thank you! There was actually another line I wrote originally after the dialogue that turned the fic back into a giant agnst parade, but I decided it was too much. (I think the line was like: but what he really means is "I don't know", or something.) See? no good. haha.
