May I ask for a clarification? What's the correct tagging for a fic in which only one of the mechs appears, but the central topic of which is their relationship? I've found myself uncertain what to use for a fic where one of them is thinking about the other, but is doing so alone. It seems odd not to tag that as prowlxjazz, but I can see why it require be the individual tags instead.

The prowlxjazz tag by year is the adequate one. We reserve the Prowl and Jazz individual tags for pieces that center around one but not the other, this is more common for non-fic works, like artwork, photos, etc,; but there are the cases where fics center around one character without mention of the other or their relationship (and without hinting to relationships with others).

Just a thought, but maybe this wouldn't be such a constant problem if the individual tags were renamed something like only_prowl or prowl: alone?

Never thought we'd need to get down to renaming them to understand the individual tag is for individual character works. I'll confer with the other mods and agree to a better tag name convention for that one.
