More tagging arrangements
Greetings, everyone. Just letting you guys know we're doing a few more tag-arrangements to make PxJ as easy to navigate and organize as we can make it. This was proposed time ago but my predecessor decided it wasn't necessary at the time. Given the size of the community as it is now and the continued addition of new 'energon' to the fold, the other mods and I decided we can't continue to carry this old system.
A few of you probably have noticed new continuity tags have been added: tf-g1: 07-08, tf-g1: 09-10, tf-g1: 11-12. Until now, unless you specified a continuity through your tag, it was assumed that your post's content was G1. Due to the size the community has reached this is no longer a very viable option and thus we ask you to start using the tf-g1 tag corresponding to the bi-yearly span where your post was made.
All posts following this announcement that belong in the g1 continuity must begin to use the tf-g1: 11-12 tag.
I've made them bi-yearly as I'm certain a single tag will not suffice to contain all the G1 continuity posts made up until now, but a two year span should manage to contain all the tf-g1 entries nicely. What should be tagged as G1? Anything based or pertaining to the generation one characters despite their different takes by different publishers:
- G1 Sunbow Cartoon and infamous TFTM
- 80's Generation 1 Marvel comics
- Dreamwave's G1 comic continuity including The War Within
- Transformers Timelines (The continuities created by the Transformers Collectors Club's stories where G1 characters are involved with the exception of Shattered Glass which has its own tag.)
- Transformers Toylines such as Generation 1 toys, Classics, Universe 2.0, Generations, Reveal the Shield.
- IDW's G1 comic continuity
- Any G1 related Japanese manga, including the Henkei manga.
- AUs based on/derived from any of the above.
War for Cybertron and its accompanying novel "Exodus" are their own continuity due to the intricate merge of elements and events of every other existing continuity into this series and due to their canonical status as prequel to Transformers: Prime.
The staff will invariably tack this task through the year one way or another, but if anyone has the time or chance to re-tag their own entries, we'll appreciate the assistance.
