October 10, 2010 - Supersede
"Regulation P1285.17 clause...." Ultra Magnus was cut off by a dangerous growl from his left and a look of pure contempt from in front of him.
"Was superseded by P951054.01 one point six metacycles ago," Prowl said stiffly. "Prime officiated our bonding ceremony. It is not your place to challenge his choice or ours."
"Did it even occur ta ya how dangerous it is ta try an' challenge superior officers?" Jazz growled, his visor flashing with the look usually reserved for Decepticons and enemy spies. "Or that if ya found out, the whole bloody base knows, includin' Prime?"
Ultra Magnus took a step back, turned on heal and left, not quite willing to drop the subject but enough of a soldier to know when to abandon a given plan.
"Ah warned Prime he's coming and pissed," Jazz sighed, shaking his head. "We gonna have ta do this with every crew?"
"There is a 97.493% probability that we will for the next vorn, until news spreads enough," Prowl nodded solemnly.

Jazz absently wondered why he wasn't shaking as he sorted through Prowl's office for any personal items he wanted to keep there, those he wanted to take his their ... his ... quarters, and what should be given to others, recycled or discarded. Never in his life had he thought he might outlive his love. All their preparations, or at least all he'd done with Prowl, was to prepare the other for this, for sorting through Jazz's things, letting the other black and white know what was gewgaw and what was valuable in the booby-trapped chaos that was the TIC's office.

October 13, 2010 - Erstwhile
Mirage watched, invisible and silent, as his mentor and commander calmly cleared out their erstwhile SIC's office of personal effects. Never mind that half of them would find their way back within the metacycle as Jazz struggled to make it his own ... assuming the new Prime offered and he accepted the post.
::Bee,:: Mirage pinged the other ops' comm and stepped forward, dropping his EM shield. Without a sound he wrapped his arms around his mentor's trembling chassis and drew him against his chest. Neither seemed to acknowledge the small yellow form that soon joined them in the locked room. They were beyond the need for words as they supported Jazz as he shook and keened his loss when it finally crashed down on him.
