I mean, I never thought of him as a sweetheart, per se; I like his gruffness and bad temper, oddly. But I don't want him to be irredeemably evil, either.

You said it.... a sweetheart Eliot is not but they have shown he has some soft spots...

I am so excited to learn more about our boy. Finally, it sounds like we're getting some backstory. \o/ I just hope this season doesn't end with some kind of "Eliot leaves the team after doing something nasty" cliffhanger. I'd never survive hiatus, lol.

I'm really stoked for bad Eliot. I never thought he was a sweetheart, like usakeh says, but I feel like we haven't even begun to see the dark twisty side of him and I hope it comes out in spades.

I look at it this way. The theme of this season has been the team as family. I suspect that they'll use whatever happens with Eliot to reaffirm their status as a family. I generally trust these writers, so I have hope!
