Aw, you totally win at birthday wishes. Checking back, I got nine comments on Facebook and three across both of my LJs (all of which came 3 days later..). I think I did get a couple of emails, including an unexpected one from my mother.

Also, I wouldn't worry too much what people assume about rings. I guess since my wedding ring will be on my right hand, some people will always assume I'm single.

Partly personal preference, and partly because that's the custom in both Russia (Sir) and Germany (me).
