Oh god, people, it's worse than I thought. I wrote, uh, 100 words yesterday on my fic? And today, I...edited, like, 10 of those words. And then stared at the page for half an hour. And then gave up and went trawling through del.icio.us for fun things. Ngggggh

As in, that thing you use when you go rockclimbing / abseiling? (If so, it doesn't look correctly spelled to me, and if not, then it means nothing.)

Yes, that D-shaped ring clasp. I can't think of the correct spelling, however, and random googling is not enlightening me...

Googling Abseiling equipment finally gets me a Wikipedia entry : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carabiner (not how I would have spelt it, personally, and it has an alternate spelling too.

Anyway, stuff in there about what Ron, Hermione and Harry actually *do* for a career, and whatnot.

Err. I'm pretty sure that's a major spoiler. I haven't finished the book yet but from what I gather from that sentence they all survive the end of the book, which is something I'd rather find out on my own. :(
