You know, I've got to wonder...

We can see them, but they can't see or hear us.

We can't interact with them at all, but the things we do in the city effect the city for them as well.

So, if there were ever to be some kind of entranceway between us and them, does that mean it would be on our side of things?

child plot, the city, thinking, bored

It's a sense of... We're not meant to interact with them, that's all. There's a different reason for us being here than them.

It's like the things the time rift pulls in, they don't belong, and most people don't know how to cope with it.

This city just has a built in defense system.

Then you think we're here for a reason?

Depends. If this is some sort of dimensional rift, probably not.

If there's a higher set of powers working here, like all the stuff we've encountered so far, probably so.

Assuming it's the second:

It seems like this place really only wants a select few of us. So, why wouldn't it just send the others back home? Granted, some of them are dead, but what more good are they to this place than when they were deceased?

Wouldn't the bigger question be if we would actually want an entranceway between? It seems like it could get real dangerous real quick if there was one, for everyone involved.

I don't know - why don't you tell me?

Hmmmm. Well. I just mean it seems like it could turn into a problem. Like, look at how things are right now, right? Instead of the creepy kidnapper and that freaky kid everyone's talking about being contained to where we are - and don't forget those kids who've started saying that they want to hurt every single adult! - they'd be able to wreak havoc on even more people, people who might not be able to do anything about it. And, I mean, maybe some people here wouldn't be able to do anything about it, and maybe it'll get a little out of hand before we can really stop it, and maybe everything's all messed up, but at least we know we've got people who are willing and able to help out here. Better to keep it contained like that.

Just a thought..

But when any one of us does something that harms the city, they're affected too, right?

So what if this stuff that's happening here, to us, is because of them?

Does it really matter? I mean, seriously... Who's gonna try getting over there in the first place? Let them mind their business and we'll mind ours. Simple as that~

It was more me being bored than anything, really.

Plus, like I said to that little girl - if we can do things that affect them, who says they aren't doing things that affect us?

Bored with all these kids running around? Lend me your talent, babe!

But yeah... It's a funny question. You have anything specific in mind?
