Okay, time for a big catch-up post with pictures! And video links! And popcorn! No, just kidding on that last part.

So, first, I did a photoshoot at Tribal Fest wearing a bunch of anaar's designs, which I also performed in. Seriously fun and comfy stuff, I totally recommend her dancewear. Well, we got the photos back, and you can now see me as a model ( Read more... )

The second picture is, in my opinion, the best still capture of fluidic motion. the seventh really brings out an anticipation of motion, though. Not sure if I am explaining it right...

I'd agree with folks who like the second picture a candidate for "she looks like and awesome dancer, I'd love to take classes with her."

But I'd also say that you might want to also look at some of the pictures that have you in a group setting, to indicate that your dancing is community-based, and that collaboration is one of your priorities -- many good dancers aren't necessarily good teachers, and I think you'd do best with at least one picture that features you working in a group -- a picture that says 'look at her dancing with those people, that looks like so much fun and I can see she's good at working with other people!"

Thanks... the community angle hadn't necessarily occurred to me (haha, I'm such a diva!)... maybe I will use some of the pics of me with the troupe...

I like the one with the open fan. Maybe that one and the second one. Motion, pose, intensity & creativity.

i just can't get over how much your sister looks like you! but maybe that's because there isn't much resemblance between me and my biological sister

Wow, yeah, not much resemblance there!

The funny thing is, Sam and I look a lot like each other... and not so much like our parents (to the point where jokes are made about paternity, etc).
