I am so jealous! Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie is one of my all-time favorite books. (This old blog entry pretty much says it all: http://idaho-laurie.livejournal.com/96385.html) Can't wait to read his latest.

I'm revisiting your review now that I've finally caught up and read After Ever After. As you promised, it's wonderful -- as wonderful as Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. How rare to find a sequel to a much-loved book that equals it!

Thank you for the preview. My Battle of the Books team is reading Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie as one of the books for competition this year. I am glad to know there is a sequel that I can point them to for further reading.
