Side note: I'm hoping to move in with an awesome girl who I am sure will provide you with awesome visual prompts because she is fabulous with that sort of thing!
I'm homeless. But not without home. I have no anchor. No tie to a brick-and-morter shell. I don't despair at this. To chain myself to a location, a place, what then of all the others? To call the sea my home denies my cry for the mountains. To name the mountains mine denies the bushlands my heart. My soul would weep were not the valleys and rivers, the deltas and dunes all permitted share in my living. I'm homeless. But not without home. my loves - friends, family, welcome strangers - they are where I live. In their arms I have shelter more than a roof. In their words I have the strength of a thousand fortresses. In their memories I have all the mementos I need. Their love is the walls I dwell within. I'm homeless. But not without home. Home I keep without keeping a home. I have home in images of places I've lived. I have home in memories from places near and far. I have home in times shared with lovers and friends. I have home in future adventures and dreams unimagined. I'm homeless. But not without home.
