Ouch
Have you ever had an in-grown toe nail?
It starts out a little uncomfortable when you first notice it..... though it just kinda goes away untill you bump your toe on something, and you might say ouch.
A few more ouches, you're more aware of it, but to occupied with walking to really take care of it, so you just grin and bear it.
