I haven't really blogged much lately. Nothing terribly eventful going on here, to be honest. I'm finally getting a new(ish) bed today. Gramma Julie's looking to get her guest bed off her hands, and I'm going to pick it up. It hardly ever gets slept on (it's not like Gramma Julie gets overnight guests over often), and she tried sleeping on it one

I'm not sure about the awards shows anymore. After watching the Jimmy Kimmel Live after the Oscars this year, I thought he might make a good choice but the Emmys didn't seem to let him do anything other the beginning and the Tracey Morgan stunt...I'm beginning to think all awards are just hopeless. They don't air the awards the online viewers really care about and they always insist on montages that are stupid...

I used to think maybe it would be better if they had more video segments like the MTV Movie awards but now even they suck.

Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway, maybe he'll bring Flash Gordon on, hehe.

I kind of gave up giving a shit about the Academy Awards anymore after finding out just how much Hollywood politics and the campaigning on behalf of certain actors' PR camps play in to the nominees getting nominated in the first place. They don't really earn those nominations like they used to.

Eddie Murphy could've won an Oscar for his role in Dreamgirls (and he truly deserved it),but I hear those chances were ruined when he knocked up Scary Spice. And the campaign that was employed to get Natalie Portman's nomination for Black Swan was unreal. They practically gave her that Best Actress award.

The Academy Awards are pretty much a love letter to the big shots of the motion picture world anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if Seth drops those hints during the ceremony. (If he strays from his scripted dialogue.)
